If We Were on a Coffee Date | Vol. 22

If We Were on a Coffee Date (22), Kendel @ Little Misadventures #NZbloggers

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have joined Junk Free June! Yesterday, I wrote about being unhappy with my eating habits and lifestyle choices. It was 100% cold, hard truth. My clothes are fitting differently and my body is just feeling…odd. I wanted to do something to try ‘right’ my eating habits and do something for other people, too. It seemed like the perfect opportunity. Don’t you agree?

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that it is the end of the college semester! This is the last official week of in-class lectures. What? How did this happen?! I have been attending college online, but this semester has definitely passed by in the blink of an eye. I have two assignments to complete and then I am 100% done for the semester. I don’t have exams, so I have a whole month (more or less) off before the second college semester starts.

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I am a freelance writer for MyWedding. I am so, so excited about this opportunity and I can’t wait to start writing! I wrote a test post on wedding cake ideas and I’m in the process of uploading it to the content system. For a small fish like me, this is a big deal! Plus, I’m turning into a huge girly girl, so writing about weddings is sort of like a dream come true.

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I didn’t set any goals for May…and I don’t feel bad about it at all. I think I just needed a month off. You know? I wanted to see how much I could achieve without being held accountable by a post on this website. Honestly? It was a bit of a relief. However, I will be creating goals for June. Soon.

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have been watching a lot of Gossip Girl lately. I’m listening to it as I type out this post, in fact. I’m currently up to the twenty-first episode of the second season. I forgot how much I liked this show. Once upon a time, I was obsessed with Gossip Girl. I’m remembering why that is.

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I am very, very behind in blogland. I checked Bloglovin today and found out that I have 1,188 unread posts. Eeep. That’s enough content to keep me entertained for several days straight. Guess who is going to be doing a lot of blog reading when the college semester is over? Me!

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that my car has been fixed! My parents called me and told me the good news a couple of days ago. It broke down over a month ago. It turns out that the transmission was stuffed and it took a while (eternity) to find one that matched my particular car. Well, it has been placed and my car officially goes! Now my baby just needs a new pair of shoes (aka two new tyres) and a windscreen, and she’s good to go! With any luck, my car will be getting picked up today or tomorrow (hooray!) and I’ll be making a trip to the Coromandel next week to do a car swap. Happy days.

Tell me…

  • What is your favourite sort of junk food?
  • What sort of college student are you? Do you study online or on campus?
  • What are your goals for June?
  • Who is one of your favourite bloggers?

  1. So many good things!! I’m so happy for you! I’ve also been eating a lot better lately, just more natural foods instead of junk. And you’re writing for a wedding magazine now?! What a dream! I hope your days continue to get more and more positive! 🙂

    1. Thanks! I tried to do that, but JFJ has been a bit of a fail because my grandmother is in town…and you know how grandmothers can bake like there’s no tomorrow…Haha. So good. I am! I’m just a freelance writer, so goodness knows how long it’ll last (hopefully a long, long time) but I really love it so far. I mean, girly things! I am not complaining about that!
