If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have slowly cultivated a habit of a mocha frappe and date scone every week. I tell myself that it’s my ‘treat’ for the week. It seems to work…until I realise that I’ve been to the café three times that week. Two guesses for where my money is currently going. Whoops. Looks like I’m going to have to start my old habit of going out without my eftpos/debit cards.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I was sick for ten days. It wasn’t the full on flu, but I wasn’t too healthy either. I felt like a walking bag of germs, but I made it work. Heck, I even managed to a) go to work, and b) go to two interviews while I was sick. Not a bad effort, right? I’m currently back at full health (or close to) and I would like to stay this way for a while.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that one of my best friends is getting married in just over three weeks and I don’t have a dress to wear to the wedding. I’m starting to freak out a little bit. Not just about the dress, but what about SHOES?! Guys, I am not a shoe person. I am a book person. I am a car person. Heck, I’m even a technology person. Shoes just make me cringe.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have been applying to ‘big girl’ real world jobs and it is TERRIFYING. I mean, who thought that I would really care this much about getting a job? This process is a lot more stressful than trying to get a job whilst in college. That being said, I feel like my typing and computer skills are getting a real workout through writing cover letters and scouring the internet. No joke.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that my college (university – whatever you want to call it) is officially on ‘break’. Say what? I can hardly believe that we’re in the middle of the semester already. It seems unreal. I’m not hating it. Actually, it doesn’t feel too different if I’m being honest. The perks of studying online are unbelievable. It just feels like I’m on one long, drawn out holiday. Who knew that college life could be so great? Why did it take me this long to convert to online study?
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have been incredibly lazy. I can’t remember the last time I did any form of exercise…and I’m only mildly ashamed of that fact. I’ve just had other things to do, you know? That being said, exercise does make me feel good, so I’m going to try to make some time for it from now on. I have time to sit down and write a blog post, so I should have time to go for a run or do yoga. Right?
- What foods are you obsessed with at the moment?
- What do you wear to a wedding? (Seriously, help a girl out. I’m struggling!)
