If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I read a really, really horrible piece on the New Zealand Herald yesterday. It appears that I’m not the only person who is appalled at this piece of writing. I honestly find it hard to believe that it was published. It did start out as a decent (ish) piece, but I was just angry by the time I had finished reading it. I dare you to read it. If you don’t read it (and I don’t blame you) then you should know that it is an article that tells women that their actions and clothes are why they are being sexually assaulted. It is a typical shaming and blaming article that shouldn’t exist on the internet (or anywhere else).
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have a day off today! It feels like all my birthdays and Christmases have come at once. I can hear the angels singing and the world has taken on this shimmery glow (which could also the sunshine that has decided to make an appearance). I have a lot of plans for today, which I am going to tackle head on. Right after I catch up on all the blog posts I haven’t had time to read 😉
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I got an email confirming the room for my college exam. Guys, my exam is a month away! I thought I had a lot of time, but this semester has absolutely flown by! Part of me is saying: “You got this” and the other part is saying: “You are totally screwed.” Looks like I have to really knuckle down and get some serious study time in. College life, right?
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I am not a summer person. I like the sunshine. I like the pretty colours. I can even tolerate the flocks of birds that have appeared. I, however, cannot tolerate temperatures above 24°c. I am that person that hides out when it gets too hot. I cannot stand lying on the beach. No deal. I love walking on the beach, but I refuse to lie there like a dead fish.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’m moving back to Auckland in eighteen days! Guys, I am so, so excited. I have missed the city more than I would like to admit. Heck, I love the place. Auckland is my place. I cannot wait to get back! Angela, we are definitely going to the cat cafe when I get back!
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have started watching Orange Is the New Black (like a million seasons after everyone else) and I love it. I went to my sister’s house the other night and we watched four or five episodes in a row. No shame. That show is brilliant. I’ve also started rewatching Suits. I am so in love with the show (and Gabriel Macht). I might be a wee bit obsessed. Again – no shame.
- Have you watched Orange Is the New Black? Do you love it or hate it?
- Do you like assignments or exams more? Or do you hate them both equally?
- Who is your celebrity crush? (Full disclosure: Mine is Gabriel Macht.)
- What is your favourite season?
