If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that my college is currently on mid-semester break. Say what? I logged in to the website yesterday morning and found a forum post that had ‘holiday’, ‘break’, and ‘returning January 5th’ included in it. Am I complaining? Hell no. Did I manage to get ahead on some of my college stuff? Um, yes. The nerd in me got a little excited and started reading ahead in the college lecture notes. I’m currently up to week six, which is the week we will be reading in January. Part of me was nervous to start studying linguistics again, but this has reminded me just how great the topic really is. The secret analyst in me is geeking out. College is awesome.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have been having weird dreams lately. A couple of nights ago, I had a dream that I was pregnant. So far, so normal. Except the babies were these weird goblin-like, time travelling creatures that destroyed my whole house. Last night, I had a dream that I was trapped in an elevator (the size of a microwave) with a bunch of babies. The rest of the dream is a pretty big blur, but I know that I had to pick a baby if I wanted to get out of that damn place. It would be interesting to interpret my dreams, but I’m not 100% sure I would want to know what they mean.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have settled on three very materialistic things for my ‘wish list’ over the next year. A blog friend of mine is currently in Sydney and as soon as I saw her post everything in my body screamed I need to be there. So, with a little luck and a lot of saving, I will be heading over to Australia in the next year! Materialistic wish #1: Plane tickets. After using my camera so often for my 101 in 1001 list, I have settled on a new camera. It is so pretty and I have fallen in love with the camera features. Materialistic wish #2: The Olympus Pen E-PL7. Finally, I have been getting back into health and fitness, but I would like to be able to track what I do when I workout. Materialistic wish #3: The Polar A300. Is it too late to tell Santa that I have been extra good this year? 😉
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that today is my first day at my summer job! This isn’t a new job to me, so I don’t have any nerves at all. In fact, I quite enjoy it. I love driving around and talking to the clients. I love being able to see all the summer ‘hot spots’ in the Coromandel area. I love working by myself and being able to set (semi-flexible) hours. I don’t know if you can tell, but I am quite excited to start this job. (No, I’m not being sarcastic.)
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I had my eyebrows waxed and tinted…and it makes me feel so good. I’m blonde, so it goes without saying that I have fine and light hair. It isn’t an issue 90% of the time, but it leaves me with semi-invisible eyebrows. I’m not good at drawing and shaping eyebrows, so I have a standing appointment with Krystal who runs Blush with Beauty in Kuaotunu. She is the only person that I trust with my face and I 100% recommend her if you ever happen to be in the area. She does everything from facials to massages to waxing and tinting to manicures/pedicures and bridal makeup. I feel so much more ‘put together’ when I have visible (and pretty) eyebrows.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that being at my mother’s house has made me put on weight…Already. Ha. I think I’ve been here for ten days. Oh well, Christmas and all 😉 That being said, I have been going for runs (and oh great, this is how I die sort of walks) around the area. The views are stunning.
- What’s on your Christmas wish list?
- Do you remember your dreams? What has been your weirdest dream?
- Have you ever tried waxing? (My friend had her legs done and said they are the worst.)
