If We Were on a Coffee Date | Vol. 8

If We Were on a Coffee Date, Kendel @ Little Misadventures

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have been sick all week. I wake up feeling okay, but a wave of nausea hits me as soon as I get out of bed. Needless to say, I have spent majority of my week in bed. I take naps. Multiple naps a day. I feel fresh as a daisy afterwards, but it makes getting to sleep at night almost impossible. If I thought I was tired last week, then I am absolutely dead exhausted this week.

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I downloaded Tinder. I think I had it for all of three days before I deleted my account and the app. It blew my mind. It is absolutely mental. I hadn’t used the app for a year and a half, and it is even weirder now. If that is possible. That being said, there are a fair few attractive lads using that app. I might just keep that in mind for future purposes 😉

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I didn’t wear make up for a week and the world didn’t implode. Shock? I did get a few “Do you feel okay?” questions and odd looks, but it went well. You know, apart from my face spontaneously breaking out mid-week. Isn’t going without make up supposed to make your skin better, not worse?

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’ve been considering going skydiving for my 22nd birthday.  I saw that a friend of mine did it a while back and I can’t stop thinking about it. People have tried to convince me to go bungee jumping, but that is on my definite no list. I told my mum about my plans and she is less than excited. Actually, she refused to buy me a ticket. Looks like I have to do this one on my own.

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have settled on the Polar A300 for my fitness tracker. Fingers crossed I can get it as a little Christmas gift to myself. I know that my workouts are effective, but I’m wanting to know exactly how effective they are…and it wouldn’t hurt to know what my “average day” of activity looks like either.

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that one of my very best (and first) blog friend is coming to New Zealand soon! I may or may not have a countdown app on my phone 😉 She is currently eleven weeks, one day and eleven hours from arriving at Auckland International Airport. Guess who is going to be waiting on the other side of the gate 😉 I am so beyond excited! I have been friends with this girl for four years at least and she is finally going to be in the same timezone as me! Hallelujah!

Tell me…

  • Have you ever met a blog friend in “real life”?
  • Do you use an activity/fitness tracker?
  • Have you ever used Tinder or an online dating site? Yay or nay?

  1. My skin tends to get spotty if I go without make up! I don’t know if it is because I wash my face more when I wear make up or what!?

You’re brave for considering skydiving! The people I know who have done it say how much they loved it, but you wouldn’t catch me trying it!

  2. I recently had a blog friend stay with me over here in Malaysia–that was a pretty cool experience! Skydiving is on my 100% never list.

  3. Unfortunately I’ve never had the chance to meet up in person with any of my online friends. But I used to Skype video chat with a few of them. Its a little awkward at first and then at some point it just suddenly isn’t anymore.

I also have used Tinder in the past. I think, and I’ve written an article about this a few months ago, that its effectiveness varies by geographic area and the demographics of the users in any given place. Its “personality” in NYC is a little different from middle of nowhere Iowa and from London and from wherever else people use Tinder and that’s because the people living in those places are all different too. Personally, I’ve had a bit of luck, but I’m also super picky and just a pinch lucky.
