If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’ve taken to mixing drinking chocolate with my morning coffee. Having a mocha every day? Um, yes please. It is a delicious, chocolate heaven and I am 100% obsessed. If only I could make coffee like a barista.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I applied for a role in my chosen industry…and it felt great. I’m currently majoring in journalism studies, but I was previously a public relations major. I’ve seen a fair few copywriting jobs pop up in the last couple of weeks and it has given me that ‘I need to do this’ drive. I want to get into the industry so, so bad. When I was studying PR, I wanted to get into copywriting with a passion. Heck, I still want to get into copywriting! Extreme motivation levels have been reached. Who thought it would be achieved by looking at job listings? Not me.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’m really enjoying this “study break”. I’ve had two weeks break from college before summer school starts. Alas, college starts next week and I’m not ready for it. At all. Holiday mode has been activated and I’m struggling. Hard. That being said, I have looked over the course materials that have been put up online. It looks interesting. That’s a good start, right? College life. At least I can be a student from my bedroom. Thank goodness for distance learning 😉
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you about all the construction that is going on in my area. I swear, my neighbourhood has been taken over by construction workers/builders/tattooed men in fluro vests. If you’ve seen my Twitter account, then you’d know that I’m not complaining. Part of me is really excited to see what the new developments will look like. I’m excited for the future of my little suburban neighbourhood.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’m really into walking at the moment. I can’t stop. I get up, have a coffee, then throw on my gear and go. I tell myself “just half an hour” and then I look at my
watch phone to see that two hours and 10+ kilometres has gone by. Complaining? No. It is so good to get out and discover new (to me) parts of my little area. I’m still so in love with this place. Auckland, you have me. Who would have thought that I’d feel so content in the big city? This year has been full of surprises.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have been thinking about swapping my college major back to public relations. I know. Shoot me. I don’t know why, but I’ve been feeling like I want to jump the fence. Again. Luckily for me, I still have enough flexibility in my degree to actually change back to public relations with no repercussions. That being said, I am currently enrolled in journalism only papers for next year, so I would have to make up my mind in the near future. Why do I keep doing this to myself?! Argh, student life.
- Do you have an exercise routine?
- Have you ever changed college majors or degrees before?
- What is your favourite (hot or cold) drink?
