Current Book: I’ve shared it (kinda) on social media, but I haven’t gotten very far with it. I recently went shopping at the Warehouse and scanned their sale shelf. So many books for under $10! You bet I was going to walk away with one (or two or three). I controlled myself and purchased a book called Lace by Shirley Conran. Not the typical book I would read, but I’m enjoying it! You might even get to see a review of it later 🙂
Current TV Show: My favourite shows (Empire and The Affair) have restarted, so I’ve been catching up on them! I’ve also started watching Blood & Oil whilst eagerly awaiting the start of Grimm. I’m also a fan of The Vampire Diaries and Blindspot. I think it’s fair to say that I have a few shows that I’m in love with. No shame.
Current Movie: I cannot remember the last movie I watched. Shock. I’m a televisions series girl, all the way. That being said, a trip to the cinema would be nice. Please comment your favourite current film (or film to be released) and I will go see it!
iPhone Wallpaper Desktop Background: Shock: I still haven’t changed my desktop background. It is just littered with a lot more screenshots and thumbnails. Student life 😉
Current Nail Colour: I got a nail polish that is a shimmery gold colour. It is beautiful but it isn’t too ‘casual’. Ha. I like how I think there’s such a thing as casual nail polish. Maybe there is. Maybe there isn’t. That is a mystery. I’ve become really interested in neutral nail polish and even nail wraps. I’ve been looked into both of them but I haven’t pulled the trigger, per se, on either of them.
Current Drink: My drink of choice has been Smirnoff® Green Apple vodka with coke. It is my go to drink. Without fail. Exam week makes me stressed. My drive times increases. My run time doubles. A strange craving for cigarettes occurs. I drink more often. Not a lot. Maybe one every couple of nights. But that is still more than my usual.
Current Food: I’m a bit of a recipe book fanatic. If I had to buy one type of book for the rest of my life, then it would definitely be recipe books. I recently went and purchased Sarah Wilson’s book, Simplicious. I’m very aware of turning into one of those ‘bandwagon people’, so I had a thorough look through the book before I handed over my cash. I loved it. I’ve tried a few recipes and loved them too. Chocolatey smoothies and turkey meatballs? Um, yum.
Current Obsession: My bed. I am 100% convinced that it is the best thing ever. I say “comfortable” when I describe it to people, but that’s just because I love/need a pretty damn solid bed when I sleep. That being said, I’m thinking of getting a foam topper for it because friends keep saying how hard the bed is. Whoopsie.
Current Wish: That I pass both of my exams and this last assignment that I have this week. I am so close to the finish line and I don’t want to stumble now. Three days. I got this.
Current Need: I feel the same as last month. I need more hours in the day. Study, work and general life hasn’t left me with a lot of time to be by myself. For myself. You know? I am looking forward to Saturday afternoon. I will finally be able to take a breath and relax.
Current Procrastination: Blogging. The Sims 4. Reading. Watching an extensive list of TV series.
Current Mood: Exceptionally happy. I’ve been doing a lot of walking lately, and I’ve been realising that this place is amazing. I can walk around the same track every day, but I am still struck by the absolute beauty of my neighbourhood. Every time. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I actually fit somewhere. I feel like this is the city and place that I was meant to be in all along. Weird how that happens sometimes.
Current Bane of My Existence: Exams. I had one yesterday and I have one on Saturday morning. What kind of monster sets an exam on a Saturday?! I also have an assignment worth 40% of my grade due tomorrow. Eeep. It is going to be a busy couple of days!
Current Blessing: That my family is so understanding. Want to change degrees? Fine. Want to change universities? Sure. Want to completely uproot my life and move to another city? Go right ahead. Want to stay an extra six weeks in said city? We’ve got you. I am so, so, so lucky. I don’t really express love for my family a whole lot, but I’m telling you right now, they’re pretty tops.
