If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I have been drinking way too many triple shot flat whites. We’re in week eight or nine or ten (?) of the college semester right now
I clearly have no sense of time, so it is definitely that crazy period! I have assignments coming out of my ears, group work and general quizzes to take. College life. I remember that it is great…until the end of the semester. How do I survive? Lots of caffeine.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I ordered an iPhone6s and I am way too excited about it. Guys, I never spend money on stuff. Like, ever. I am the type of person that likes to have money and will quite happily squirrel it away forever. I am a saver, not a spender. Now I’m just waiting for the delivery of the case (today, hopefully!) and the phone itself, which is happening in a week (or so). Ahhh, I just want to play with it! I’m not a girl who likes clothes, but if I find a technology or car or book that I want then it is pretty much a done deal. Case in point.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’m awful at replying to blog comments. I checked to see when I last wrote a coffee date post and saw that I had replied to exactly zero comments. Whoopsie. My bad. Slap on the wrist for me. Replies will be heading your way soon!
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’m obsessed with overnight oats. It is climbing up the ranks as one of my favourite foods. I mix oats, chia seed, drinking chocolate, milk, yogurt, and random spices together to create a beautiful flavour explosion. It turns out being so chocolate-y and delicious. Perfect for the sweet tooth that I have acquired. If you haven’t tried overnight oats yet, I am telling you that you need to do it. You are definitely missing out!
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’m not in the mood to go to work. I do like the work, but the ‘getting there’ part kills me. Every. Time. Especially now. I can’t help but think ‘I really should be doing xyz instead…’ while I’m washing dishes or setting up the tea/coffee area for the millionth time.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’m moving “home” for the summer AKA I’m moving back in with my parents. Again. Definitely nothing to complain about though! Free rent, free food, a beach right across the road and a guaranteed summer job? Count me in!
Hi Mum: Home is in quotation marks because I finally feel like Auckland is my home. I am really, really happy and settled here. That being said, home will always be wherever you are living too 🙂
What’s your “go to” drink at a cafe? What is (or was) the best/worst thing about college? What are you currently waiting for?
