I keep seeing these link ups all over the blogosphere, but I haven’t quite figured out who started the whole shebang. If anyone knows, then please enlighten me. I saw that Vanessa from I Write About You publishes coffee date posts and so does Skylar from Blonde Freedom, so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon too. I mean, who would say no to a virtual coffee date? 😉
If we were on a coffee date, I would have a spicy chai latte with soy milk. They are the best drink on the coffee board. This week has been surprisingly hard for a semester break. Those cups of heaven have been my points of light in a very long and difficult week. If you haven’t tried having a hot drink with soy milk then you haven’t lived. I’m a little addicted. Chai lattes are life.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I need a break. From everything. I’m currently on semester break from college, but I’ve been working (almost) every day since that break began. Complaining? Yes. I do like work, but I need time to relax and catch up on college work. I have assignments due in two weeks and I have zero energy to do them when I get back from work. College life. I’m working tomorrow, then I have a couple of days off.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’m absolutely obsessed with Suits, and you should be too. Is it wrong if I’m a little bit in love with Gabriel Macht and his character? Keep in mind that I’m only up to the third season, but I’m 100% in love with his character. He is the type of guy that I was (am) attracted to.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I went to New Zealand Fashion Week, but I didn’t have the best time. I loved the show itself, which was NOM*d. I loved it. I especially loved the background music, which was poetry by Sam Hunt. Some might have found it weird, but I thought it was absolutely perfect.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I went to Baduzzi on Tuesday night. It was absolutely amazing. There was crayfish meatballs, tagliatelle with beetroot and quail egg, and crostata of pear with sorbet and feijoa. To. Die. For. The staff there were amazing, the atmosphere is infectious and the layout of the restaurant itself is gorgeous. Mirrors on the walls? Um, yes. I got to see everything going on in the restaurant behind me and I loved it.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I haven’t exercised in a long time and I’m feeling it. Yes, I’ve gone for walks around my town, but not hardcore bodyweight exercises. Is it ironic that they’re the ones I love the most and the ones that I’m most scared of?
