From Behind the Lens: My Favourite Photos

Someone pointed out that there are two more weeks until mid-semester break. Um, what. Seriously guys, where is this year going? It is flying by at the speed of light. Can someone please hit the slow-mo button or snooze a couple of times?

This is the part of the year when it feels like I’m starting to chase my tail…and boy oh boy, am I starting to feel it. I don’t know if you saw it, but I’m seriously considering going back to study a BBS (Bachelor of Business Studies) after I finish my current degree. That’s right – I’m planning my second degree before I finish the first. Smart, right? 😉

Enough of the future. I want to talk to you about right now…or the “right now” a couple of months ago.

I like to take photos. I think the last few posts have been a testimony to that. Tonight, I thought I would share some of my favourite photos. So, how about it?

Kuaotunu bridge, Coromandel NZ

Kuaotunu Beach, Coromandel NZ

Thames Coast, New Zealand

Can anyone tell that I’m a bit obsessed with the beach? 😉

Never in a million years did I think that I would become so attached to a beach. I used to be terrified of the ocean…and now I can’t go two days without dipping my toes in the water. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to do so. Auckland, you have been so, so good to me.

That being said, I would like to point out that all the photos in this post belong to the Thames/Coromandel coastline and aren’t remotely close to Auckland. Try driving for two or three hours and then getting out to take a photo. It’ll be worth it.

The last photo in the line up…Well, my little sister might kill me 😉 Sorry, sis. I’m feeling a little sentimental tonight and I had to choose between this photo and the one of us with the creepy clown. You know which photo I’m talking about. This is probably one of the more recent photos I’ve had taken with any of my family members…and it is almost three years old. Can you believe that?

There’s a reason why I like to write and not create YouTube videos. I am definitely camera-shy. But hey, that’s a post for another day 😉

Are you normally behind the camera or in front of it? Where is your favourite place(s)? If you had to pick one family member to visit you right now, who would it be?

  1. I like both! It feels great finding a shot of yourself that you just love, but I also love finding a shot that you took that you just love. I’m probably just weird though 😛

As far as having family visit… if it’s anyone, living or dead then I’d love to have my mom visit. She’s been gone for 4 years now and has never met my husband. I wonder what she’d have to say about me using her wedding ring as my engagement ring? Gosh I’d have so much to talk to her about. If it’s someone living, then my sister who currently lives 18 hours away from me. I haven’t seen her in over a year and she’s only met my husband once.

    ❤ and harp strings,
