Goals for January 2015!

Happy humpday! Can you believe that it’s the middle of the week already? I don’t know how this keeps happening, but I want time to slow down. I’m not ready for a lot of things that will be heading my way soon (moving out again, eep!).

I’m no stranger to setting goals for each month, but this time I decided to do something a little different and join a link-up! I absolutely loved them once upon a time, so I’m determined to start joining more! Weekly Wishes was started by Melyssa, who blogs over at The Nectar Collective. There are a few rules that go along with the link-up and you can read them over at her latest post.

The best thing about the link-up is that you can set goals for a week, a fortnight, a month, six months or the entire year! Most people set them for the week, but since I decided to link up late (whoops) I will be setting them for the month of January!

MY GOALS FOR JANUARY 2015:

  1. Find a house. This is definitely at the top of my list as I am planning on moving out at the start of February! I have my eye on a couple of nice ones, so now I just have to find the time to get my butt into gear and view them in person!
  2. Finalize my college papers. The college process has been slightly trying this year. I decided to swap universities, so I have been waiting for papers to be credited (which they are, hooray!) before I could pick any other papers. Now I just have to jump through hoops to select my final papers.
  3. Exercise three times a week. I finally got a fitness plan and I’m determined to stick to it! I always feel better when I’m being active, but I have been way too slack on that front.
  4. Read a book. This is part of my goals for 2015 and I’m determined to stick to it. I just started reading Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult and I think I’m in love.
  5. Sort through my wardrobe/makeup. I have the typical dilemma of “I have nothing to wear!” more than once a week, despite the fact that my wardrobe/drawers being full of clothes. I have a lot of things that I don’t use/wear, yet I keep taking them to every house I move into. No more. I am going to have piles of keepdonate, and throw out by the end of the month.

  1. I’m working on slowly decluttering our house so I hear you on those piles of keep, donate and throw out! Good luck on reaching your goals for the month!

  2. It’s exciting seeing dreams turn into goals.

Being more active is definitely one of my focuses this year. I’ve already completed one blog resolution though, updating my blog’s theme. It took me two whole days out of my summer vacation but it’s done and I’m super happy I did it.

    1. Yes – I 100% agree!

I need to be more active as well. I figured out that I’m a much less angry person when I’m exercising/getting out of the house more and moving about. Hopefully I can keep it up! I think your new design is brilliant! I just looked at it and I can see why it took two days! So beautiful.

  3. I love Jodi Picoult’s books! ❤ Salem Falls was definitely a good one!

Two of my goals are to be more consistent with my workouts and to do well on my boards licensing exams! :]

    1. Salem Falls is wow….I forgot how addictive it was! Honestly. Her writing is amazing. I hope she writes forever and ever and ever.

Oooh, I’m sure you can do both! Exercise is good for stress and making you feel happier! Exercise and I’m sure you’ll do great for the licensing exam (and you know, study). Ha. Good luck!

  4. My aunt asked me to join her accountability group on fitness this year, so I’ve started a work out plan as well! I ran a half last year, but my knees and groin have been shot since. I’m starting out soft now, with 30 days of yoga. These are great goals- good luck on house hunting!

    1. Oh wow, you ran a half?! That is insane! I’ve always liked the idea of yoga, but I can never really get “into it” haha I’m not a breathe in and out calmly type of person! Ha. I’ve tried pilates as well, but it had the same effect! Thank you 😀

    1. Yes! I have a whole bunch of clothes that don’t fit me anymore! 1) It’s kinda depressing and 2) They’re taking up precious space in my wardrobe so they need to go ASAP. House hunting is my number one love and hate at the moment! So many good houses but then the flatmates/landlords seem a bit odd ha. No deal. I’m sure I’ll find a good one sooner or later…or I’ll be sleeping in my car for part of the semester! Haha. I wish I was kidding. (I kinda am).
