Featured on Friday: Being Human on Earth

Like last week, the blogger I have chosen to feature is one of my friends from university! She is pretty much the best human being ever and I am so glad that I got to meet her 🙂 She has the most beautiful soul everrrrrr and she loves Harry Potter more than Draco 😉 She’s a winner in my book! So what are you waiting for? Go check out her blog after you read this feature, of course.

1. What is your blog about and why do you blog?

At the moment, my blog is about whatever comes to mind as I am very new to blogging. I did actually have a blog for about a year prior to this one, using google blogger, but I wasn’t really feeling it and I eventually gave up after like one post. I switched to using WordPress after I heard from a friend that she found it easy to use. So right now, I aim to use blogging as a means to refine my writing, and practice writing in a different medium – I am a university student who is sick of research reports, and misses writing in high school English class!

2. Who are your favourite bloggers?

The first blog I started reading regularly was Zoella, YouTuber Zoe Sugg’s blog. Subsequently, I really enjoy any makeup/beauty blogs because I love that kind of stuff; I also indulge in fashion blogs because I feel that as I am entering adulthood, I should be able to dress myself beyond the minimum effort of covering my nudity :O I am also looking at a lot of travel blogs like the.ego.tripper and roam & home because who isn’t interested in travel?! What makes travel blogs special is the completely different perspective offered on a destination each time you read a story about it from a different person.

3. What are the best and worst things about blogging?

The worst thing right now is that I just don’t feel like I fit into some of the typical and defined blog-types out there, such as beauty, fashion, poetry etc. but on the other hand, I am a bit apprehensive to make my blog too personal. I would like to develop a more specific image over time, but I am struggling about whether or not I should have a more light-hearted and casual blog, a creative and writing based blog, or a more serious and thoughtful blog. Maybe any readers out there can give me some advice on which way to go 😛 What I love about blogging is that it can be a personal project for me outside of working through university, as well as sharing ideas, getting feedback, and possibly even making new connections with people. This is kinda lame, but it feels a bit special to have your own little site on the internet haha.

4. If you had the opportunity to look into your future, would you do it?

No, because I’m a worrier. I’d end up like Spongebob in that episode where he decides to live in his house forever because he realises the dangers of going outside. He goes crazy as a result and his best friends become inanimate objects; I’m already not too far from crazy.

5. Fuck, marry, kill: Draco Malfoy, Neville Longbottom and Harry Potter.

Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom – In that order. Sorry Neville.

6. If you had to write a book about your life, what would it be called?

I can’t even name my blog something decent, so I guess it’d just be my name and the book would be in a boring in biography form. I guess if this ever happened I’d give it more thought.

7. Would you rather listen to one song on repeat for the rest of your life or eat brussel sprouts as a main component of every meal?

I’d eat the sprouts… Music is life.

  1. Oh I love this interview! I think in terms of writing style you should just sit down and write what comes out (I do this and sometimes I come out with really personal things and sometimes its more light-hearted, just depending on my mood). I think if you just have a really organic writing style and try not to over think it too much (sometimes I’ll overthink a post and end up deleting it because it seems too static) you’ll end up with really great writing and people will appreciate the transparency in your blog.

🙂 goodluck Keri!! let me know how it all goes xx
